Eric Robert Dunn, 94, of Pictou and formerly of Lyons Brook, passed away March 22, 2011 in the Maritime Oddfellows Home, Pictou, where he was a resident for the last two and one half years.
Born in New Glasgow, he moved to Lyons Brook where he met and married his wife, Beatrice Munroe. He farmed in Lyons Brook where he raised his prized Black Angus cattle. He also worked for many years at Ferguson Industries, Pictou. A long time member of the Lyons Brook United Church and choir, he was also a member of the Pictou Men’s Choir.
Eric was predeceased by his wife, Bea; and brothers, Allison and Laurie.
He is survived by several nieces and nephews in British Columbia.
Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or funeral service by the request of the deceased. A public graveside service will take place at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 25, in Haliburton Cemetery, Pictou, with Michael Simmons officiating.
Donations in Eric’s memory may be made to the Lyons Brook United Church.
