The death of Carl Lee Boyd, age 60, husband of Jane (Wyman) Boyd of Kars, NB, occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital, NB, on Tuesday, March 22, 2011. He was born on July 29, 1950, in Hatfield Point, NB, the son of Lee and Helen (Ganong) Boyd. Carl is survived by his wife of 38 years, Jane; parents Lee and Helen Boyd of Kars, NB; sons Alex and Beth Boyd of Kars, NB, Daniel and Kate Boyd of Grand Manan, NB; grandchildren Logan, Emma, Parker; sisters Marilyn and Wendell Friars of Rothesay, NB, Gloria and Les Burge of Hampton, NB, Norma Burge of Saint John, NB, Gail and Rev. Randy Leavitt of Winnipeg; aunt Grace Boyd-Hickling of Norton, NB; uncle Arlie Ganong of Long Point, NB; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He is resting at Sherwood’s Funeral Home and Life Tribute Centre (506-839-2156), 18 Scovil Road, Norton, NB, with visiting on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 2 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m. Celebration of Carl’s life, conducted by Pastor Fred Wickett, will be held on Sunday, March 27, 2011, at 3:00 p.m. from Outreach Pentecostal Church, Hatfield Point, NB. A private family interment will follow in Bayview Cemetery. Donations in memory of Carl, may be made to the Relay for Life or the memorial of the donor’s choice.
