1941 - 2011

Marvin Joseph Gettle passed away on March 17, 2011 at the age of 69 years.

Marvin is survived by his loving wife Marlene Gettle, children Darcy (Terri) Gettle of Calgary, AB, Coralee Gettle of Kamloops, BC, Lance (Nicole) Gettle of Calgary, AB, Lorrie (Don) Pepper of Parksville, BC; seven grandchildren; sister Millie (Martin) Petz and Marvin's mother Frances Gettle; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Marvin was predeceased by his father George Gettle.

Marvin was born in Lestock, Saskatchewan on May 7, 1941. He spent most of his childhood farming with his family in Saskatchewan and Manitoba. In later years he worked as a drywaller and a contractor throughout the Kamloops area. Marvin always enjoyed the outdoors, camping, fishing and gardening, but most of all spending his time with his grandchildren. Marvin was a great provider and loved his family dearly. He will be missed.

A Celebration of Marvin's Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 25, 2011 in the Kamloops Funeral Home Chapel, 285 Fortune Drive.
