Deborah Ann MacLean, 54, Sydney Mines passed away peacefully Wednesday, July 22, 2009, at the Northside General Hospital.
Born in Sydney Mines, she was the daughter of John and Elizabeth (MacLean) Chislett. She was a member of St. Pius X parish, Sydney Mines.
Debbie worked for many years as a PCW at Freeman’s Guest Home in Lower Sackville. She enjoyed country music, bingo, plastic canvas and crochet. She was a caring person who loved everyone.
Besides her parents she is survived by her sisters, Mary Chislett (Doug), Brenda (Mike) Boutilier and Ann (Albert) Vaters; her brother, Art (Lindsay) Hannigan and several nieces; nephews; aunts and uncles. Also surviving are her special friends, Mildred, Carolyn and Daisy.
She was predeceased by her grandmother, Louise Jardine, her sister, Catherine and a number of aunts and uncles.
There will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place under the care of Francis Funeral Home, Sydney Mines. Mass of Christian Burial will take place Tuesday at 2 p.m. in St. Pius X Church with Fr. Thomas John officiating. Burial in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Sydney Mines.
Donations in her memory may be made to the Diabetes Association or a charity of choice.
