Dale, Wilfred John, Truro, passed away peacefully on March 22, 2011 in Wynn Park Villa. Born May 2, 1923 in Truro, he was a son of the late Charles and Eva (Doiron) Dale. Following service in the Armed Forces, he worked at Stanfield’s Ltd. from where he retired after 40 years. Wilfred was a former member of the Truro Curling Club and Truro Golf Club, as well as a 55 year member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #26. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Catherine (Kent); daughters, Jo-Ann (Craig) Phillip; Sandra Felderhof (Brendan Morrissy); brothers, Jack, Charles and Fred; sister, Nellie Carmichael; grandchildren, Brenna and Ian (Sara) Phillips, Derek (Valerie) Felderhof, Mariska and Heidi Felderhof; great-granddaughter, Annika Felderhof; many nieces and nephews. As well as his parents, he was predeceased by sisters, Mary McEachern and Eva Blair. At Wilfred’s request, there will be no funeral. Cremation has taken place. The family will receive visitors in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow Street, on Tuesday, March 29th, 2011 from 2-4 pm. No flowers by family request.
