We, the family of the late David Matthews who passed away suddenly on July 8, 2009, wish to express our deepest gratitude to everyone who sent cards, food and memorial donations in Dave’s name.
To our family and friends we would like to thank you for your love and support, which helped us through such a difficult time. To the E. M. T.’s, Drs. Wawer, Igoe, Chafke and Brake; thank you for your kindness and care. To E.R. Nurse Tom Power and C.C.U. nurse Duncan MacIntyre thank you for your compassion. To my brother George, Dave’s niece Colleen, and nephew Ricky thank you for your endless support. It was appreciated more than you will ever know. To Dave’s sister Blanche, thank you for your moral support. To our neighbours, I am so lucky to have such good friends close by. Thank you to Wilson United Church choir and Norma Mills, D.L.M., for the beautiful music and service. To Dave’s niece Shauna for her tribute to her uncle Dave, thank you. To his nephew, Wally, thank you for your song. To his son-in-law Blair for the reading, and to Gary for the pictures and videos which helped us remember all the happy times. Thank you to the honorary pallbearers. Grandfather would have been so proud of you. To his grandsons Dave and Matt, what a wonderful job you both did.
Lastly, we would like to thank Manning and Ian at Jobes Funeral Home for your kindness and compassion. You took care of everything, including us – Thank you so much!
