Sally Davies
Sally Ann Davies, 59, of the Valley View Villa, Riverton, formerly of Stellarton, passed away March 23, 2011 in the Villa.
Born in New Glasgow, she was a daughter of the late Maxwell and Carmen ”Pat” (D'abreu) Keeping.
Sally grew up in New Glasgow spending most of her married life in Stellarton where she was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church. She was a resident of Valley View Villa for the past five years. Sally always had a big smile with an infectious laugh, enjoying life to the max. She handled everything with a positive attitude and chose to deal with life’s difficulties with what was possible rather than with what wasn’t possible. The adversities Sally faced in life made her a true role model to all who knew her. She was a true and loyal friend, a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She always had time to listen without being judgemental, and that could be seen by her life-long friendships.
She will be greatly missed by all.
She is survived by her husband, Garry, New Glasgow; a daughter, Amy (Fabien), Debert; four grandchildren: Alyssa, Sierra, Victoria and Linkin; sisters, Gail (Frank) Croucher, Greenwood; Susan MacDougall (Tom), Portland, Maine; Jane Keeping (Glen), St. Margaret’s Bay; several nieces and nephews.
Sally was predeceased by a brother, David.
Her remains will rest in the H.W. Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow, for visiting from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Saturday. Cremation to follow. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Monday from Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church with Father Donald Boudreau presiding. Burial will take place at a later date.
Donations in memory of Sally may be made to the A.L.S. Society of Canada.
