Dunfield, Everett Burton “E.B.”, 92, of Anagance, passed away at the Moncton Hospital on March 23, 2011. Born in Anagance, he was a son of the late Harry and Frances (Bicknell) Dunfield. Everett was a veteran of WWII serving overseas in the Navy; he owned and operated Dunfield’s Grocery in Anagance for 31 years, and he was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Havelock Branch # 86, the Anagance United Church and the Anagance Senior Citizens. Everett is survived his sons: Gordon of Upper Coverdale, and Wayne of Moncton; his step-daughters: Norma Anderson of Dartmouth, Ruth Peskett of BC, and June Cormier of Connecticut; his step-sons: Lloyd Anderson of BC, and Lewis Anderson of Sheffield; his sister, Ella Harper of Anagance; grandchildren: Jason Dunfield (Sharon) of Berry Mills, Jeremy Dunfield of Moncton, and Deborah Richard (David) of River Glade, as well as several other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, a great-great-grandchild, and many nieces, nephews & cousins. Besides his parents, Everett was predeceased by his first wife, Laura Dunfield (nee Hall), his second wife Elsie Dunfield (Anderson), his brothers, Robert Dunfield and Donald Dunfield; and his step-son, Richard Anderson. He will be sadly missed by his homecare worker of 16 years, Judy Leger.
No visitation by request. A Celebration of Everett’s life will be held at Armstrong’s Funeral Home on Sunday March 27, 2011 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Bob Campbell officiating. Interment will be held in the Anagance Cemetery at a later date. Donations to the Anagance Public Hall Assoc. or the Danny & Jessica Angel Foundation would be appreciated.
