We are sad to announce the passing of Peter Wayne Hazelwood who passed away on March 24, 2011.

Wayne is predeceased by his grandparents Peter and Mary Ann Vinnie and Joseph and Ella Hazelwood, Uncle Chappie Vinnie, Uncle Dave Vinnie, Auntie Rose Pilkington, Auntie Anne Campbell, Auntie Muggie Manuel and Auntie Vera Vinnie.

Wayne is survived by his son "The most precious person in his life" (Sonny) Matthew Peter Hazelwood; Wayne's parents Marie and Ed Hazelwood; his siblings Ivan (Connie) Hazelwood, Alan (Janie) Hazelwood, Becky (Jamie) Arnouse and Barry Hazelwood. Also left to cherish his memory are his nieces and nephews: Curtis, Trenton, Justin, Shyla, Branden, Kelsey, Jordann and Kyle, great nephew Liam and great niece Keira. Wayne's aunts and uncles: Auntie Sito (Buster) Campbell, Auntie Margaret Rose, Auntie Winnie (Jerry) Crippen and Uncle Frank (Margaret) Vinnie and numerous cousins.

Wayne was born April 6, 1962 in Kamloops. He was raised in Pritchard on his parents' ranch and attended school at Chase, finishing his last two years in Kamloops. Wayne dedicated most of his employment to Adams Lake Lumber where he worked for the past 20 years.

Wayne and (Sonny) Matthew spent a lot of their spare time at Wayne's parents' ranch, whether it was helping with haying, working with the cattle or helping with fencing.

Friends wishing to pay their respects, by viewing may do so on Sunday, March 27, 2011 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. in the Schoening Funeral Chapel, 513 Seymour Street, Kamloops.

Funeral Service will be held on Monday, March 28, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church on the Kamloops Indian Reserve with Pastor Harry Bicknell officiating.

Donations may be made to the Royal Inland Hospital Foundation (Cancer Services Fund), 311 Columbia Street, Kamloops, BC V2C 2T1 or the Kamloops Hospice Association, 72 Whiteshield Crescent S, Kamloops, BC V2E 2S9 in memory of Wayne would be appreciated.
