The death occurred at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Thursday, July 23, 2009, of Robert “Bob” Reid, of Gamble Avenue, Summerside, aged 83 years. Born in Middleton, he was the son of the late William and Georgie (Carruthers) Reid. Survived by his wife, Norma (Humphrey) Reid; children, Donald “Don” (Deb); Anne Reid; Kathryn Reid (Stanley Fisher); William “Bill” (Maria Carty); grandchildren, Jason, Ryan, Derek, Sara and Emily Reid; Laura and Natalie Smith; great-grandchildren Garrett and Luke Reid; and by sister Wilma Evans. Predeceased by brothers James “Jim”, George, William “Billy”, David and John “Johnny”Reid; and by sister Elizabeth “Betty” Allen. Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, until Monday, then to the Bedeque United Church, for funeral service at 2 p.m. Interment in the Lower Bedeque Cemetery. Visiting hours Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Family flowers only by request. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Prince County Hospital Foundation or the Bedeque United Church would be appreciated.
