Thomas "Tom" Daye, 62, of Moncton, and formerly of Edmonton, Alberta, passed away peacefully at his residence on Thursday March 24, 2011. Born in Canterbury, he was the son of Bertha (Arsenault) Daye of Moncton and the late Hezekiah Daye. Tom was formerly employed as a cement finisher with P-Ban Enterprises in Alberta. He enjoyed playing cards, music (especially playing guitar) and spending time with his friends and family, especially his grandchildren.In addition to his mother, Tom will be sadly missed by his children, Shawn (Laurie) of New Denmark, Shelley Goodine (Jeremy), of Tilley, Shona of Alberta and Janelle of Manitoba; grandchildren, Toby and Angie Daye and Matthew Goodine; companion, Joy Matchfield; sisters, Sandra Phillips (Stewart), Nellie Dietrich, Ida Riddick, Susan Gillis; brothers, James (Doreen), Gary (Gabrielle) and John. In addition to his father, he was predeceased by his brother, David.
In keeping with Tom’s wishes, there will be no visitation hours or funeral service. Interment, Maple Grove Cemetery, Foley Brook, NB.
