STELLARTON – Mary Elizabeth Davidson, age 82, of Jubilee Ave., Stellarton, passed away on Thursday, March 24th, 2011 in the Victoria General Hospital, Halifax.
Born in Stellarton, she was a daughter of the late William and Rose Violet (Kowalski) Bellick
Mary was a lifelong resident of Stellarton. During her early years she worked at the Pictou Shipyards and then went on to work in the laundry department of the Aberdeen Hospital. She was a member of Christ Anglican Church. Mary was a good friend to all and a loving person.
Surviving are a brother, William ”Billy” (Sandra) Billick of New Glasgow; a sister, Tosha (Donnie) MacMillan of New Glasgow; step-daughter Gloria (Gerald ) Turnbull of Stellarton; brother-in-law Leo McKay of Stellarton; niece Rosemary McKay of Lacombe Alberta; several nieces and nephews
She was predeceased by her husband John Davidson; a sister Georgena McKay.
A public memorial service will be held on Monday at 2 p.m. from Christ Anglican Church with Rev. Aidan Kingsbury officiating. Burial will be in Christ Church Cemetery.
Donations in memory of Mary may be made to the Palliative Care Unit of the Aberdeen Hospital.
A reception will follow the service in the church hall with everyone invited.
