Joseph Gallant, 89, of Dieppe, NB, passed away on Friday, March 25th 2011, at the Moncton Hospital, Moncton, NB. Born in Mont Carmel, PEI, he was the son of the late Arthur and the late Rosella (née: Arsenault) Gallant. He was a member of Ste-Therese parish. He is survived by three daughters: Raymonde (late Yvon) LaFlamme of Dieppe, Francine (Emmanuel) Cormier of Riverview and Gisele (Steven) Vallee of Moncton; two sons: Rolland (Claudette) of Dieppe and Michel (Gloria) of Shediac; two sisters: Beatrice (Léo) Goulet of Saint-Louis-de-Ha-Ha, QC and Antoinette (Charles) Richard of Dieppe; three brothers: Augustin (Thérèse) Gallant of Dieppe, Jean Gallant of Montréal, QC and Alphée (Elise) Goguen of Dieppe; 10 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Nelida in 2009 and also by one sister, Thérèse.
Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, NB (857-1901) on Sunday from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm and also on Monday from 8:30 am until time of funeral. Funeral service will be celebrated from the Chartersville Funeral Home Chapel, Dieppe, NB on Monday, March 28th, 2011 at 9:30 am. Interment in Notre-Dame du Calvaire Cemetery, Dieppe, NB.
