MURPHY, Joyce “Camillus”, age 76 of Sable River, Shelburne County, passed away at Roseway Hospital, Sunday, March 20, 2011 with her loving family at her side. She was a daughter of the late Robie and Florence (Trefry) Giffin. Camillus was a Past President of the Sable River Women’s Institute. She was a superintendant and teacher of the Sable River United Baptist Church where she also served as a Treasurer for many years. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Vernon; sons, Robie (Darlene), Jerry (Debbie), Fred (Samantha), Doug (Bonnie) and Allan (Bonnie); daughters, Debbie (Preston) Dash, and Joyce (Bob) Young; 21 grandchildren; 13 great- grandchildren and one great, great grandchild; brothers, Churchill, Bruce, Fred, Charlie and Rod; sisters, Mona, Pat; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Lealand, and a brother and sister in infancy. The funeral service was held on Wednesday, March 23 from Sable River United Baptist Church with Rev. Gordon Simons officiating. Burial was in Hillside Cemetery, Sable River. Memorial donations may be made to the Sable River United Baptist Church or charity of choice.
