The death of John Bernard Gill occurred on Thursday March 24, 2011 at The Saint John Regional Hospital. Born 1945 in Saint John, he was the son of the late Horace Allan and Laura Mary (Roy) Gill. John worked for Deluxe French Fries, many years for CHSJ and volunteered 25 years with Romero House. He loved to work and was very electronically handy. He is survived by his sister Muriel Defazio-Smith (Donald) of Quispamsis; stepsister Carol Sedlock (Joe) of Prince George, BC; nieces and nephews Ronnie, Cindy, Louis and Pam and several cousins. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a brother Gordon Gill and sister Connie Newman.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Rd. Saint John (646-2424). A Memorial Service will be held from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday March 29, 2011 at 11a.m. Interment will follow in Fernhill Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Romero House, Salvation Army or the charity of the donor’s choice.
