LOWER BARNEY’S RIVER – Margaret Muriel Ross, age 92, of Lower Barney’s River, passed away Thursday, July 23, 2009 in the Aberdeen Hospital New Glasgow.
Born in New Glasgow, she was the daughter of the late Margaret MacFarlane. She was a former employee of Lismore Fishery. She was a member of Saint Andrews Roman Catholic Church, Egerton and attended Saint Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Lismore.
She is survived by a daughter, Ellen (Keith) Langille, New Glasgow; son, Loman (Joy), Little Harbour; son-in-law, Donald MacDonald, New Glasgow; grandson, Darren (Trisha) MacDonald; great grandchildren, Craig Tobin, Abby Catherine MacDonald.
She was predeceased by her husband, John Leslie Ross; a daughter, Dorothy MacDonald; grandson, Thomas MacDonald.
Visitation 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., Sunday in the R.H. Porter Funeral Home New Glasgow. Funeral mass 11 a.m. Monday in Saint Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Lismore with Father Colin MacKinnon officiating. Burial will be in Saint Andrew’s Cemetery, Egerton.
