COOK, Greta Mae – 74, Truro, formerly of Great Village, passed away suddenly, surrounded by her loving family, on Friday, March 25, 2011, at Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro. Born November 30, 1936, in Pleasant Hills, Colchester County, she was the daughter of the late James and Jennie (Kennie) Welton. Greta is survived by her children, Maureen Ralph (Kelly Blair), Truro; George Cook (Patty Nicholson), Hilden; John Cook, Belmont; grandson, Bob (Tracey) Mattix, Debert; brother, Ralph Welton, Economy; sister-in-law, Ada Welton, Economy. She will be fondly remembered by her grandchildren, niece and nephews. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, George Alfred Cook; son, Bob Mattix; brother, Donald Welton; sister-in-law, Sandy Welton. Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall ~ Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro, where a private family service will be held.
