The passing of Vaughn Alexander Calhoun, husband of the late Essie May (Lyons) Calhoun, occurred on Saturday, March 26, 2011 at the Central New Brunswick Nursing Home in Boiestwon, NB at the age of 98 years. Born on March 3, 1913, Vaughn was the son of Perley and L. May (Bruce) Calhoun. Vaughn was a self employed Guide and installed oil heating systems for Texeco and Irving. Besides his family, he loved the woods, hunting, fishing and playing soft ball. He was a member of Miramichi First Pentecostal Church in Holtville. Vaughn is survived by two daughters, Sharon (Cammy) Munn, of Taymouth, NB, Sheila (LeRoy) Scott of Boiestown, NB; three grandchildren, Cheryl Davis, Kathy McCormack and Wayne Scott; 10 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Besides his wife and parents, Vaughn was predeceased by one grandson, Tony Scott; one great-grandson, Nathen Scott; one brother, Murray and five sisters, Vera, Kay, Cora, Nina and Dorothy.
At the request of the family there will be no visitation or Funeral Service at this time. A Private Graveside Service will take place in Cameron Hill Cemetery, Holtville, NB at a later date.
