Passed peacefully away surrounded by his family at the Palliative Care Unit on March 25, 2011, Elias Ford, age 85 years. Predeceased by two sisters Charlotte Spracklin (Doug), Pearl Hill (Jim), and son-in-law Rick Stanley. Left with precious memories are his wife Eleanor; his children: Rosalind Ford, Gerald Ford, Beverly Stanley and Elizabeth Benson (Roger); grandchildren: Mark Benson (Morgaine), Andrew Benson, Courtney Nash (Kent), Ryan Stanley (Sara), Grant Ford and Timothy Ford; two sisters: Sarah Ivany (Harvey) and Doris Simmons (Max); sisters-in-law: Jean Good, Elizabeth Good and Ingaretha Bishop; as well as other relatives and friends. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Avenue, Mount Pearl, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Sunday, and from 10 a.m. - 9 p.m. on Monday. Funeral service to take place at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, March 29, 2011 from Barrett's Mount Pearl Chapel. Interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
