CROWTHER, Kelvin Luther – Passed peacefully away at the St. John’s Health Sciences Centre on July 23, 2009, Kelvin Crowther of St. John’s, age 92 years. Predeceased by his first wife Laura (nee Martin), brothers Dudley and Bruce and sisters Ellen, Berna and Marion. Survived by his brother Brian. Leaving to mourn beloved wife of 53 years Marjorie (nee Guzzwell); sons: Kelvin (Linda) and Roger; stepdaughters Roma (Douglas) Biddiscombe and Bonita (Earle) Robbins; grandsons: Timothy (Krista) and Matthew; stepgrandchildren: Craig (Christine), Jason and Leanne (Kirk); step-great-grandchildren: Brooklyn, Christian, Paige and Amellia. Special thanks to the staff at the Health Sciences Centre 4 South B, and also to the staff at the Caribou Memorial Veterans Pavilion who provided him with exceptional care during the past 14 months. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave., St. John’s on Saturday from 7-9 p.m. and Sunday from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral to take place on Monday, July 27, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. from St. Thomas’ Anglican Church, 8 Military Road, St. John’s with interment to follow at the Field of Honor, Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
