MALONEY, Michael Edward - Passed peacefully away on Friday, July 24, 2009, with courage and dignity, following a year-long battle with cancer, Michael Edward Maloney, age 66 years. Loving husband of Jennifer, devoted father of Michael and David (Rebecca), proud poppy of Ava; brother to Kevin, Peg O’Brien (Paul) and Barb Hanlon (Kevin) and brother-in-law to Peter (Reine), Wendy (Danny), Sally, Keith (Jane) and Stephen Dawe. Also leaving to mourn many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Mike, in his earlier years, was very well known and respected as an avid athlete and fierce competitor. Always popular and surrounded by a large group of close friends, Mike went on to become a very well respected and successful businessman. A collector car enthusiast, outdoorsman, mentor and friend. Mike had a love for life and brought a smile to the faces of everyone he met. Mike will be missed but never forgotten. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation Saturday and Sunday from noon - 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. Funeral Mass on Monday, July 27th, at 9:30 a.m. from St. Teresa’s Church. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
