The death occurred peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Sunday, July 26, 2009, of Louis Blacquiere, of the Garden Home and formerly North Rustico, in his 78th year. Louis is survived by his children, Anna Farrar (Gordie) and Terry; granddaughter Alicia Farrar (Brian Wakelin); and sisters, Theresa Blacquiere (Leo Gallant) and Pauline Bateman (Phil). He was predeceased by his wife, Rosina (Buote); and siblings, Frances, Lillian CND, Leonard, Alfred, Imelda and Helen. Resting at Central Queen’s Funeral Home, 2538 Glasgow Road, New Glasgow, for visitation on Monday, July 27, 2009, from 6 to 9 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated at Stella Maris Roman Catholic Church, North Rustico, on Tuesday, July 28, 2009 at 2 p.m. Interment in Stella Maris Cemetery.
