BALTZER, Gerald Leslie “ Buck ” - 67, Somerset, Kings Co., passed away on Saturday, March 19, 2011, at home. Born in Kentville, he was a son of the late Trueman N. and Beatrice W. (Legere) Baltzer. Buck was a carpenter and farmer for all of his life and had a passion for horses. Surviving are his companion and partner, Theresa Myles, Berwick; sons, Cody and Skyler and their mother, Nancy Sills, Aylesford; Randy, Ontario; daughter, Jennie (Jason) MacDougall, Slave Lake, Alberta; five grandchildren; a great-grandson; brothers, George and Lloyd, both of Aylesford; David, Windsor; Maxwell, Black Rock; sisters, Shirley Reese, Aylesford; Terri O’Neill, Coldbrook; Betty Bodncachuk, Saskatchewan; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Pauline Eisner. In accordance with Buck’s wishes there was no visitation. Funeral service took place at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 24, in the Serenity Lindsay Funeral Home, 192 Commercial St., Berwick, N.S., B0P 1E0, (902-538-9900), with burial in the Berwick Cemetery. Rev. Clyde Lowe officiated. Floral tributes and memorial donations are gratefully declined.
