Passed peacefully away at St. Lukes Home on Saturday July 25th, 2009, age 89 years. Predeceased by her parents, William and Anne Murphy, sisters Mary Laube and Margaret Gasse and brothers William and Allan and her nephew Allan Murphy Jr. Left with fond and loving memories her family: Martha Murphy, Carmela (Michael O’Rourke), David and Michael Murphy and Karen (Ron Palmer) and their son Justin, also her sister-in-law Carmela Murphy Jamieson and other relatives and friends. A special thank you to her friends and the staff of Trinity Square St. Luke’s Home for their kindness and care for our Aunt Jo. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Monday, July 27th, 2009 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday July 28th, 2009 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Peter’s Parish, Ashford Drive, Mt Pearl on Wednesday, July 29th, 2009 at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
