GARRETT HOBBINS

Date de décès : 27 mars 2011

Garrett Wade Hobbins passed away tragically on Sunday, March 27, 2011 at the age of 19. He will be deeply missed by his loving family: mother Mary (Victor Ford), father Clayton, sister Dayna (Jesse Forsyth and niece Savannah), brothers Jaden and Christien; grandparents Hilda Schuett (Mel Guild) and Leonard Hobbins; uncles and aunts: Karen McCann (Terry), Laurel (Dave) Kelly, Julie Ramsay (Jim), Fay (Jim) Cockburn, Gail (Scott) Jorstad, Nola Hnatiuk, Dale (Shirley) Hobbins, Dean Hobbins (Susan), Craig (Irene) Hobbins, Maurice Hobbins, Daryll Hobbins (Lori), Lionel Hobbins, Kenneth Hobbins (Shelley), Collette (George) Munroe; and numerous cousins including miracle baby Paige. Garrett is predeceased by his Grandma Doris Hobbins, Grandpa Albert Schuett, and baby cousins Marlo Kelly and Isaac Hobbins. Garrett was born in Regina January 10, 1992 and moved to Edmonton in 1999. There his passion for bikes led him to excel in BMX Bike Racing. Garrett loved the country, and after having spent a lifetime of summers at the Cockburn farm, in 2009 he moved to Briercrest. He thrived in the country life with his free spirited love of his toys and animals, kids, friends and family. His work experience also grew, first working in carpentry with his Great-Uncle Jerry Nestman, and later as a farm hand with the Cockburn family. Most recently his work led him to Regina each day for a job in the welding field, where he was proving to be a valuable employee, and credited as a reliable, wonderfully spirited young man. He will be remembered for his infectious smile – that mischievous, quirky grin…and his “love you” farewells. A Funeral Service will be held at St. Joseph’s Parish in Claybank, SK, on Saturday April 2, 2011 at 1:00 pm. An Evening Prayer Service will be held at the Church on Friday evening at 7:00 pm. Father John Prince will officiate. Interment will take place at the Claybank Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Moose Jaw YMCA Strong Kids Program, in Garrett’s name. In living memory of Garrett, a tree will be planted in Besant Park by W. J. Jones & Son Funeral Home. Please sign the memorial register at website: www.wjjonesandson.com (Obituaries).
