Passed peacefully away on Tuesday, March 29th, 2011 at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital. Basil Murphy, age 73 years. Predeceased by his baby daughter Genevieve; parents Peter and Mary Murphy; sister Regina, and niece Marie Porter. Leaving to mourn his loving wife and best friend of 51 years Genevieve (Gen); three sons Denis and grandsons Billy and Colin and friend Barb, Shawn and Thomas; Peter (Ann Marie) and granddaughter Hayley, and Brian (Sheri) and grandson Dawson; three daughters Joanne (John) and granddaughter Amanda and grandson Matthew, Mary (Howard) and grandson Joshua, Tina (Randolph) and grandsons Randall and Andrew; also a long list of other relatives and friends. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation on Wednesday and Thursday from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial from Corpus Christi Church on Friday, April 1st, 2011 at 9:30 a.m. Cremation to follow.
