Arthur “Art” W. Robinson, 64, of Riverview, with family members present, passed away peacefully at the Moncton Hospital on Tuesday, March 29, 2011. Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late George and Kathryn (Alward) Robinson. Art was retired from General Motors of Canada Ltd., Moncton with 35 years service. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Moncton and a choir member. Art was a former Charter Member of Whitepine Baptist Church, Riverview; former Deacon, Youth Group Leader, Prayer Warrior and served the church in various other capacities in past years. He enjoyed reading, woodworking, listening to music, photography and was an excellent cook. Art enjoyed the summer months at the family cottage (Belleisle Bay), socializing with his friends and spending quality time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Art will be sadly missed by his wife of over 43 years, Carol (Blakeney) Robinson; his children, Stephanie Adshade (David), Lawrencetown, NS; Scott (Kim), Riverview; his precious grandchildren, Carl, Katie and Andrew; also, seven nieces and nephews.
Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral Service at First Baptist Church, Queen Street, on Saturday, April 2, 2011, 11:00 am, Rev. Dr. J. Richard Jackson officiating. Reception following the service.
