Robert "Bob" Douglas
Robert “Bob” J. Douglas, 78, of Dieppe, with his family at his side, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Tuesday March 29, 2011. Born in Petitcodiac, he was the son of the late James and Jetta (Fawcett) Douglas. Bob was a retired Distribution Customer Service Manager for Kraft Canada Inc., with 39 years service and a former consultant for Canada Pallet Council (12 years). He was a member of First Baptist Church, Moncton, where he served his church on various boards and committees in past years. Bob was a member of Steven Lodge #37 F. & A.M., Petitcodiac; past Patron and Secretary of Frank H. Tingley # 5 O.E.S., member of Botsford Chapter RAM, Ivanhoe Preceptory and Tantramar Council. He was past President of the Moncton Transportation Club; former member of the Advisory Council of Via Rail and past President of the Atlantic Division, Canadian Industrial Transportation League. Bob was a car enthusiast and always kept his cars clean and waxed. He enjoyed travelling, camping, bowling, playing cards, socializing with his friends and spending time with his family. Bob will be sadly missed by his wife of 55 years, Muriel (Parker) Douglas; his daughters, Cindy Difabio (Lino), BC, Sharon Larracey (Norman), Dieppe, Barbara Douglas (Jay), Ontario; precious grandchildren, Jillian and Christopher; sister, Greta Dobson (Howie), Halifax, NS; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Marguerite and brothers, Irving and Harry.

Funeral Service at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, April 3, 2011, 2:00 pm, Rev. Dr. J. Richard Jackson officiating. Reception in the Funeral Home Reception Centre following the service. Interment, Fair Haven Memorial Gardens.
