December 16, 1919 – March 29, 2011. Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Tuesday, March 29, 2011, Mary Bennett of Green’s Harbour, aged 91 years. Predeceased by her husband Raymond (1987), sister Bertha Burt and brothers John, Harrison, Tom and Hayward Hillier. Leaving to mourn and celebrate her life with thanksgiving are: son Hayward (June) and their children Kirk (Karen) and Krista Bennett; step-sons: Gord (Edna), Reg (Estelle), Walter (Nellie) and step-daughter, Jean Fletcher; seventeen grandchildren and twenty seven great-grandchildren. She is also lovingly remembered by sisters-in-law: Bessie Hillier, Josie Hillier and a large number of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. Resting at Warren’s Funeral Home, Dildo with visitation Wednesday, March 30, 7:00 – 9:00 pm. Thursday, March 31, 2:00 - 4:00, 7:00 - 9:00 pm and Friday, April 1, resting at St. Matthew’s Church, Green’s Harbour, 10:00 am until time of funeral. The funeral service will be held from St .Matthew’s Anglican Church, Green’s Harbour, on Friday, April 1 at 2:30 pm. Interment to follow at St. Matthew’s Cemetery.
