Peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Monday, July 27, 2009, of Imelda Stephanie Wellner (nee MacLellan) of Stratford, age 95 years. Beloved daughter of the late Agnes and Sixtus MacLellan and wife of the late Arthur W. Wellner. Lovingly remembered by her children, Marsha (Allison) McCormick of Charlottetown and Stephanie (Michael) Jones of St. Joseph’s Island, Ontario; grandchildren, Gregory (Michelle Lannigan) McCormick, Philip McCormick, Stephanie McCormick, Stephen (Susan Gini) Jones and Pamela (Stephen Taylor) Jones-Taylor; great-grandchildren, Isaac and Matthew Jones, Rhys and Griffyn Taylor. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sisters and brothers, Adele MacLellan, Frances MacLellan, George MacLellan, Iris MacLellan, Sister Vera MacLellan CND, Josephine Hurley, Wanda Pennell, Buddy MacLellan, and one brother in infancy. Resting at the Hennessey Funeral Home until 1:45 Friday afternoon, then transferred to Our Lady of the Assumption Parish, Stratford, for funeral mass at 2 p.m. Interment to follow in the family plot at Sherwood Cemetery. If so desired, memorial contributions in Imelda’s memory may be made to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Foundation. Visiting hours at the funeral home on Thursday 6-9 p.m only.
