We, the family of the late Carl Ley, wish to extend our heartfelt gratitude and thanks to everyone for their thoughtfulness and kindness during our recent bereavement. Thank you to the staff at the Glace Bay General Hospital and Cape Breton Regional Hospital. Thank you to Patten Funeral Home for their compassion and professionalism. We would like to thank Dr. O’Brien and Dr. Rebelo for their wonderful care throughout the years. We extend our gratitude to Martha MacDonald and Rev. David Mac Lean for their uplifting service, Stephanie Doyle, the choirs of Gordon United Church and St. Joseph’s Church, we thank you for the beautiful music. To the Reserve Mines Volunteer Fire Dept., thank you for the honor guard and for the part that you played during the funeral service. We thank the pallbearers: Grandsons Ryan Ley and Matthew Nicholson, Billy MacArthur, Joe Murray, Donna Collins – MacLeod and Gerelda Carabin. Thank you to the U.C.W. for providing the beautiful luncheon. Many thanks to those who expressed condolences, sent food, flowers, sympathy cards, Mass cards and made donations to charity.
