Passed peacefully away at her residence on Thursday, March 31, 2011 - a week short of her 88th birthday, Mary (Foley) O’Dea. Predeceased by her husband, Jim (Dyke Day), June 1991 and her sister Bride Breen, February 1976. Leaving with treasured memories her ten children: Betty (Kevin) Pomroy, Bob (Maureen Coady), Patsy (Tom) Murphy, Jim, Sheila (Sister of Mercy), Barbara, Brenda (Andy) Byrd, Maureen (Peter Clements), Mike (Marie Fagan), David (Tony Fillier); her sister Stella Long; twenty grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren (with 3 more blessings on the way); nephews; nieces; special family friends: Carmel Walsh, Marie Brennan, Fanny Brennan, Ros (Fisher) Cook, Ed O’Keefe, the Walsh and Brennan families. Mary will also be missed by her Homecare Worker, Medina Leyte; and her friends at Bishop Meaden Manor. Mary loved life and lived it to the fullest. She will be missed by her Saturday night card group, her weekly Scripture Group, the Mercy Associates and the people she met at the Mall on her many shopping sprees. Visitation at Caul’s Funeral Home on Saturday, April 2 from 12 noon - 9 p.m. and Sunday, April 3 from 10 a.m. - 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Teresa’s Church, Mundy Pond Road on Monday, April 4, 2011 at 11 a.m. Internment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Gathering Place or a Charity of one’s choice.
