PURDY, Michael– Passed peacefully away in the presence of his loving family at home in Tors Cove, Newfoundland, on Thursday, March 31, 2011, Michael Edwin Charles Purdy, aged 56 years. Predeceased by his infant son, Scott and his parents, Alan and Anna Purdy. Leaving to mourn his loving wife, Elaine (nee Kelly); his children: Steven (Sheryl) and Craig (Stephanie); two grandchildren: Kyria-Lynn and Brooklynn; sister Eletta (Ed) and brother Sean (Michelle): mother-in-law Kay Kelly (Edward 2009); sisters-in-law: Debbie Arsenault (Dave), Linda Noftall (Frank) Denise Johnson (Steve); brothers-in-law: Gary Kelly (Angela), Don Kelly (Elizabeth) and Paul Kelly (Susan); also a number of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and many dear friends. Private cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will take place on Sunday at St Peter’s Parish Hall, Ashford Drive, Mount Pearl at 7pm. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the cancer society in lieu of flowers are gratefully appreciated.
