Gladys Eleanor “Gaye” Primeau
Gaye passed away peacefully with family at her side on July 14, 2009 at the Victoria Hospital, Prince Albert, SK. She was born on December 14, 1922 on the family farm at Naisberry, SK Gaye and her husband Ernest resided in Trail, BC for many years. Gaye was employed with the Hudson Bay Company and Ernest with Cominco. Due to failing health, Gaye moved back to Prince Albert to be close to family. She was known for her good sense of humor and she loved to laugh. She is survived by her sister Ina Twigge; sisters-in-law Elsie Pfieffer and Elsie Knoble; brothers-in-law Reg (Sonja) Primeau and Ron Primeau; many special nieces and nephews including Eloise (Pete) Lukoni, Manny (Laurie) Primeau, Marian Primeau, Janice (Vik) Neimanis and Dixie (Dave) Kohut. She was predeceased by her husband Ernest; her parents Ole and Ida Johnson; her brothers Lloyd, Charles and Larry Johnson; her sisters Mabel Condy, Evelyn Primeau and Ida Pegg; her nephew Doug Primeau; her sisters-in-law Lina Whicker, Phyllis Winton, Alvine Sumners and Gladys “Doots” Primeau and her brothers-in-law Alex, Larry, Norman and Clarence Primeau. A Private Family Graveside Service will take place at a later date. In lieu of other tributes, memorial donations can be made to Canadian Cancer Society, 54 – 11th Street East, Prince Albert, SK S6V 0Z9 or The Lung Association of Saskatchewan, 1231 – 8th Street East, Saskatoon, SK S7H 0S5.
