Douglas Alexander Weekes, born December 22, 1951, passed away suddenly on Saturday, April 2, 2011 with his wife and daughter-in-law by his side. Doug is predeceased by his father and mother. He leaves to mourn his passing his wife and partner Carol; his son Jeff (Nicole); daughter Judi (Jeff) Nish; Carol’s children Dustin, Johnathan and Kimberlee Harper and granddaughters Hanna and Sienna. Doug is also survived by two brothers and two nieces. Doug was a 35 year CPR locomotive engineer retiring in 2006. He was an avid baseball and hockey fan . He could be found at Memorial Field in the summers cheering on the “Canadians”. He had coached many of the men as boys in baseball, all the way to the Western Canadians in 1987. He will be missed by many. At Doug’s request there will be no funeral service. A Celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
