Passed away after a brief illness on April 1, 2011, Herbert Guy Barnes, age 70. Predeceased by his father Herbert, and mother Francis, first wife Elizabeth, daughter Tracy, sisters: Heather and Dawn and brother Adam. Leaving to mourn and celebrate his life are his loving family, wife Victoria; sons: Adam (Jennifer), Francis and grandson Matthew; sisters: Ita and Orion (Len) Baker; in-laws: Fred and Shirley Saunders, Steve (Melinda), Chris (Denise); also many nieces, nephews and their families; as well as a number of relatives, friends and his co-workers at Royal Lepage Professionals. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, April 5, 2011 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m.-9 p.m., Wednesday, April 6, 2011 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. Funeral service to be held at Gower Street United Church on Wednesday April 6, 2011 at 2 p.m. with interment to follow at General Protestant Cemetery, Waterford Bridge Road.
