1918 - 2011 - Juliette Poirier, 92 of Haut Saint-Antoine passed away peacefully at her residence on Monday, April 4th, 2011. She was married to the late Henri Poirier (1997). Born in Saint-Joseph de Kent on August 6, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Alphée and Elise (LeBlanc) LeBlanc, and raised by her grandparents Maxim and Marie LeBlanc. She will be sadly missed by her nine children, Stella Girouard (Albert) of Richiboucto-Village, Yvonne LeBlanc (Gérard), Marie-Thérèse Boudreau (Jean-Paul) both of Saint-Antoine, Ida Gallant (Antoine) of Sainte-Anne de Kent, Jeannine Carroll of Bouctouche, Aquila (Raymonde), Edouard (Maria), Noël, and Omer (Murielle) all of Saint-Antoine, twenty four grandchildren, twenty two great grandchildren, and one great great grandson, and several nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by two daughters in infancy, two sons, Roger and Gérard, one grandson Paul, and one great granddaughter Dianne.
Visitations will be held at the Saint-Antoine l’Ermite Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room, Saint-Antoine on Wednesday, April 6, 2011 from 7 to 9 and on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 5:30 to 6:45 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at the Saint-Antoine Church on Thursday, April 7th, 2011 at 7:00 pm with interment in the parish cemetery in the spring. In Juliette’s memory donations can be made to the Dr Georges L Dumont Hospital Foundation.
