It is with great sadness that the family of the late Michael Velroy Blanchard announce his passing on Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital in Stephenville, NL at the age of 67 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife Poppy and dog Ceasar; brothers: Pat (Dina), Tony (Rita), Brian (Christine); sisters: Janet (John) Robinson, Ethel (David) Earle, Eva (John) Hynes; father-in-law Frank Baldwin; brother-in-law Tony Baldwin; sisters-in-law: Patricia Bushey, Sadie Dutot (Joe Flynn), Beverly (Donald) Rice, Maisie (Wilfred) Park, Golda (Eldon) Parsons, Peggy Baldwin (Keith Warren); as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Michael and Melissa Blanchard; sister Faith Blanchard; brother Myles Blanchard; mother-in-law Olive Baldwin; brothers-in-law: Benjamin Bushey and Don Brown. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home in Stephenville Crossing on Thursday and Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will take place from St. Augustine’s Anglican Church in Stephenville on Saturday, April 9, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Canon Dawn Barrett officiating. Interment will follow the service at Mount Patricia Cemetery in Corner Brook.
