The death occurred at Mount Stewart on Wednesday, March 2, 2011, of Mr. Joe "Digger" Smith of Tracadie Cross, age 50 years.
Beloved brother of Bernie (Dan) Lamphier, Noreen (Joe) Lisi, Marion Smith and Kevin (Darla) Smith. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Brenda Smith; aunts, Anna MacKinnon, Anita (Ed) Webb, Joan Smith and Mary (Gordon) Watts; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, Tom and Mabel (nee Watts) Smith and brother, Mike Smith.
Resting at the Hennessey Funeral Home for visitation on Friday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A memorial mass will take place on Saturday morning at St. Bonaventure’s Church, Tracadie Cross, at 10 a.m. Interment to follow in the family plot in the parish cemetery.
