(DOB: 2 February 1926.) Frank passed quietly from this place on Tuesday, 5 April 2011 at the Health Sciences Centre surrounded by his devoted family. He is predeceased by his parents Margaret and Alban, his only sister, Elizabeth (husband Vince) Dalton and his brother and best friend: Austin (wife Theresa). Frank leaves, with broken hearts, his devoted wife of 54 years, Betty (Critch); the lights of his eyes, his children: Ralph (Violet Squires), Pat (Sharon (Ryan), Alban (Judy (Byrne), Margaret (Margie) (Doug Bryson), and Leo (Nicole (Parrell). Tammy (Sean) Hearn, Jeffrey, Megan, Ashley (Matt Rees) and Brooklyn Linehan will miss their awesome Poppy who loved his "yong wons" so very much. Caleb Hearn will miss the guidance of his great-grand poppy Frank. Frank is also survived by his Critch, Dalton, Linehan, Murphy and Warford nieces and nephews and his "Yankee" Linehan cousins in Long Island, New York. Frank will be sadly missed by his many friends at Admirals’ Coast Retirement Centre. Born on Colinet Island, St. Mary’s Bay, Frank was truly dedicated to the preservation of the memory of his birth place and regaled his children and grandchildren with the many stories of his youth and growing up on "the Island". He will be missed! At his request, cremation has taken place. The family will be receiving friends at Queen of the Holy Rosary Church in Admiral’s Beach from 12:00 noon to 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, 7 April 2011 and 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Friday, 8 April 2011 followed by Mass in celebration at 2:00 p.m. A celebration of Frank’s life will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the Town Hall at Admiral’s Beach. Internment to follow at a later date. No flowers by request. In lieu, donations may be made in his memory to the Ronald McDonald House, Newfoundland and Labrador in hopes that children needing to be with their families in their time of need, can be.
