Dyer
Peacefully, with her family around her at Prince County Hospital, of Shirley Jessica Cowan Dyer, in her 88th year, on Tuesday April 5, 2011. Born in Montreal, Quebec, Shirley was the daughter of the late James and Amy Cowan. She is survived by her daughter, Mary (Brian) Whitehead, Victoria West; granddaughter, Julie (Myles) Smith, also of Victoria West; grandson, Michael Whitehead (Dawn), Thompson Man.; granddaughter, Franki-Rae (Shaun) Bent, Greenwood N.S.; as well as her beloved grandsons Joshua and Noah Smith, Victoria West. Also survived by her sister-in-law, Shirley Cowan (late Dennis) Sutton, Quebec. Shirley was predeceased by her husband, Winston Dyer and brothers, Bob and Dennis Cowan, as well as many other cherished family and friends. Resting at the Ferguson Tyne Valley Funeral Chapel. Private family service by personal request and interment will take place at a later date.
