1926 - 2011 - Raymond Gallant, 84 of Rogersville formerly of Collette passed away peacefully on Friday, April 8th, 2011 at the Miramichi Regional Hospital. He was married to Marie-Anne (Arsenault-Lavoie) Gallant. He was predeceased by his first wife Marie Thebeau (1974) and his second wife Cécile Caissie-Richard (1999). Born in Rosairville on August 1st, 1926, he was the son of the late Joseph and the late Marie-Anne (Doucet) Gallant. He was a member of the Rogersville Golden Age Club, and the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 38 Rogersville. He will be sadly missed by his wife Marie-Anne, his two children Huguette Richard (Donald) and Pierre Richard (Lianne) of Collette, and his four grandchildren, Jeffery, Jessy, Lanie, and Annie. He also leaves to mourn four sisters, Doris Maillet of Bathurst, Aline Drew (Dick) of Vancouver, BC, Lorraine Drew (Raymond) of Seattle, WA, Leona Wunder (Dean) of Chicago, two brothers, Armand (Dorina) of Rogersville and Léo (Anne-Marie) of Rosairville, and several nephews and nieces.
Visitations will be held at the Saint-Francois de Sale Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room, Rogersville on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and on Tuesday from 9 to 10:45 am. Funeral Mass will be held at the Church in Rogersville on Tuesday April 12th, 2011 at 11:00 am with interment in the Rosairville RC Cemetery in the spring.
