DeCoste, Veronica Elizabeth “Betty”, 80, of Truro, passed away peacefully Saturday, April 9, 2011, in her daughter Linda’s arms and also surrounded by her loving family in the Colchester Regional Hospital Truro. Born in Truro she was a daughter of the late Grace Faulkner. She was a former employee of Abbey’s Wines and K-Mart in Truro. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved camping at Brule Beach with her late husband and also loved bingo, going for drives and shopping. She is survived by daughter, Linda Kaiser, Truro; son, Leonard (Alexis) DeCoste, Shubenacadie; grandchildren, Lisa, Jenny, Shelley, Tammy; 8 great grandchildren and 4 step-great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, John David DeCoste. Visitation will be held1-2pm Wednesday, April 13, immediately followed by funeral service at 2pm, all in the Mattatall ~ Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street Truro, with a reception to follow. Interment will then be held in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Robie Street Truro. Family flowers only. Donations may be made to the Chrons Society.
