Margaret Florence Earle, 96, of Bernard Court, New Glasgow passed away July 30, 2009 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born in Trenton, she was a daughter of the late Capt. John and Margaret Veronica (Perry) Gerrior.
Margaret lived in Thorburn for 65 years before moving to Bernard Court. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was a member of St. Ann’s Roman Catholic Church, Thorburn.
She is survived by daughters, Lillian (Kenny) Trefry, Smithfield; Peggy Roach (Sandy Kirkwood), New Glasgow; grandchildren: Sherrie (Jim) MacKinnon, Sylvester; Ken (Stella) Trefry, Trenton; Thomas Freeman Roach, New Glasgow; Paul Roach, Dartmouth; 2 great-grandsons, Michael Trefry, Trenton; Colin Roach, Halifax; several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Clarence Earle, daughter Mildred Mae, sisters: Lucy Mae, Josephine, Mary, Angeline “Lina” and Julianne in infancy. Her remains will rest in the H.W. Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in St. Ann’s Roman Catholic Church, Thorburn with Father Bernard MacAdam officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
