It is with great sadness that we, the family, announce the passing of Theresa Ann Pottie on May 24, 2017 at St. Martha’s Hospital, Antigonish surrounded by her four children. Born in Sydney, Theresa was the daughter of the late Russell and Christina (MacNeil) Marley, Sydney.
Theresa most found joy when she was in the presence of her family and friends, always up for a good game of darts, a laugh and a song.
Theresa is survived by her daughters, Geraldine Rose, Rose (Anthony) Grace, Teena Hiltz, and son, Frances ‘Frank’ Aucoin; grandchildren, Tania, Clayton, Byron, Gerald, Ashley, James, Joshua, Jerritt and Travis, and great grandchildren, Logan, Emma and Ava. She is also survived by her siblings, Barbara, Alice (Bill) and Russell (Tilly).
Besides her parents she is predeceased by her brother, Clarence, and her husband, Lynus.
Visitation for Theresa will be held on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in the SW Chant & Son Funeral Home, 564 Alexandra St., Sydney. Funeral Mass will take place on June 1, 2017, at 11 a.m. at Holy Rosary Parish, Westmount, with Fr. Murphy officiating. Interment to take place in parish cemetery, followed by reception.
