Denny passed away peacefully with his wife, his soul mate and love of his life, Carla, and his entire family by his side on Monday, April 11, 2011 at the age of 58 years. Loved by his children Connie Taylor, Tawnya Solo (Shannon Cosman), Phil Power, Robert and Andrew Wells, his grandchildren: Samantha and William, sister, Sharon Kazmal, brothers: Rick (Deanne), Rob, Tony (Anne), Jim (Ingrid), his parents-in-law; Ben and Carrie Maynard, sister-in-law; Janet Maynard (Randy Musseau), brothers-in-law; Brian, David (Anne Bennett), Bob (Claudine) and Rodney, treasured by his nieces and nephews; Ian, Andrew, Leanne, Suzanne, Jennifer, Rebecca, Jessica, Benjamin, Megan, and Camile, and Auntie Irene Royko, his treasured dog Amira. Denny was predeceased by his father; Hhsan (1971) and mother; Anita (1991), brother-in-law; Bill Kazmal (2008), brother; Sean (1980), and nephew; Jason Solo (2008). Denny had many, many friends and each one was held dear to his heart. Denny understood the power of peace, the power of forgiveness and the power of love. He had no regrets. The family expresses a true thank you to those who showed their support and love through it all; especially Cheryl Power for her much needed strength to Carla and Denny. Visitation will take place at Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road on Tuesday, April 12, 2011 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday, April 13, 2011 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place at Most Holy Redeemer Cathedral, Mount Bernard Avenue on Thursday, April 14, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. with Monsignor Edwin Gale officiating. Cremation to follow. Interment to take place at a later date. A celebration of Denny’s life will take place immediately following the funeral at The Royal Canadian Legion, West Street. As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted or memorial donations may be made to the ALS Society of NL.
