We wish to announce the peaceful passing of a special mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend, which occurred May 25, 2017 in Saint John, NB, at the age of 96.
Vivian was formerly from Glace Bay, Sydney and Saint John, NB. She nursed for many years at Point Edward, Halifax and Saint John. She was a graduate of the General Hospital, Glace Bay, NS.
Survived by a son, Roy (special friend Theresa); grandsons, Michael (Tania), Saint John and Jamie, Edmonton; great granddaughter, Robyn, Saint John, NB; daughter-in-law, Catherine; granddaughter, Sara, Toronto; special niece, Stella Jones (Frank); brothers, Donald Crowell (Joyce), Windsor, NS and George Crowell (Jean), Glace Bay; sisters, Shirley (Ray) McNabb, Sydney River and Beth (Bill) Noseworthy, Glace Bay, and numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
Born in Glace Bay, Vivian was the daughter of the late Wilfred and Hattie Crowell.
Vivian was predeceased by husband, George; son, Wilfred; daughter, Patricia; brothers, Roy and Earl, and sisters, Phyllis and Audrey.
A celebration of her life, officiated by Pastor Elizabeth Hazelhurst, will take place Thursday, June 1 at 11 a.m. at the Glace Bay Baptist Church, 229 York St., Glace Bay with Beth Hazlehurst officiating.
