Passed peacefully away at the Health Science Center surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, May 30, 2017. Austin Sheppard age 75 years. Leaving to mourn with loving memories his wife Roberta (nee Newhook) sons: Scott (Tammy) and Jason (Michelle), his two cherished grandchildren Ashley and Max; brother: Noel (Lorraine); sisters-in-law: Diane (Kevin) Martin, Peggy (Lionel) Newhook and Julie (Harry) Newman; brother-in-law: Derek (Linda) Newhook as well as nieces and nephews Curtis, Daryl, Chris, Gary, Karen, Lori, Charles, Brandon and Darren. Also, leaving to mourn a large circle of friends, colleagues and extended family. Throughout his life Austin was active in many organizations including Association of Engineering Technicians and Technologists of Newfoundland and Labrador, Canadian Council of Technicians and Technologists, Newfoundland & Labrador Road Builders/Heavy Civil Association and the Newfoundland and Labrador Construction Association. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home 73 Commonwealth Ave., Mt. Pearl on Thursday, June 1st, 2017 and Friday, June 2nd, 2017 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. from Barrett's Funeral Chapel.
