Passed quietly away at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital, St. John's on April 6, 2011, Cecelia E. Smith of Aspen Brook, Random Island, aged 92 years. Predeceased by husband Hayward in 2002. Loved and missed by daughters Barbara, Carol (Jan) and Glenda (Brian); grandchildren: Paul (Cherise), Brad (Megan), Alison (Dave), Meghan, Christopher, Andrew, Nicholas and Amanda; great-grandchildren: Samantha, Connor, Hengest, and Rowan; sister Florence; sisters-in-law Pearl and Bessie; brother-in-law Lawrence (Sue) and many other family and friends. Rested at Vardy's Funeral Home, Hickman's Harbour. Funeral service, officiated by Rev. Vera M. Abbott, assisted by Rev. Bill Coish, took place on Saturday, April 9, 2011 at Central United Church with interment following at the United Church Cemetery, Aspen Brook.
