Passed peacefully away at Carbonear General hospital on Sunday, April 10, 2011, Mr. Chesley “Ches” Brown of Bay Roberts, aged 74 years. Predeceased by parents Chesley and Bertha Olive Brown (nee Crane); brother Gerald Brown; son-in-law James Seymour; brothers-in-law: Maxwell Sellars, Raymond Sweetland. Leaving to mourn his wife Joan (nee Earle); son Sheldon (Bernice); daughters: Juanita Brown, Dallas (Dennis) Piercey, Claudia (Monty) Franey; sisters: Emma Sellars, Daphne Sweetland; brother Herman Brown; sisters-in-law: Minnie Brown, Dorothy (Wm) Vokey; brothers-in-law: Harold (Esther) Earle, William (Mabel) Earle; five grandchildren: Ashley, Matthew, Kristen, Paul and Alex; and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Resting at Moore’s Funeral Home, Bay Roberts. Visitation Monday 7-9 p.m., Tuesday 10-12 Noon, 2-5 p.m., 7-9 p.m., Wednesday 10-12 Noon. Chesley was a Past Master of the Masonic Lodge MacKay 1129, Past Member of the Orange Lodge, LOL Bay Roberts Branch and Past Member of the Bay Roberts Town Council. Funeral service to take place on Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at 2 p.m. from St. Matthew’s Anglican Church, Bay Roberts. Interment in the St. Matthew’s Anglican Cemetery, Bay Roberts. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Matthew’s Anglican Church.
